The 2019 index of multiple deprivation was published at the end of September 2019. The number of areas in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in the top 10% most deprived tier has gone down by 2, from 46 (in 2015) to 44 , but the number of areas in the 11-20% most deprived tier has gone up, from 68 (in 2015) to 81. The biggest change is in Havant, which has gone from 12 areas up to 17.
