This fund is for grass-roots organisations and only open to organisations with an income under £1 million.

Including Communities supports HIWCF’s core aim of tackling poverty and inequality by helping to build flourishing communities. We believe people and communities thrive when local activities and services regularly bring people together, particularly when they are organised around a strong shared purpose such as reducing isolation, improving wellbeing or building safer communities.

Including Communities will again offer 12 month grants of £1,000 – £10,000 for not-for-profit community organisations. Note that we do not normally make a total amount of grants in one year to a single group that would amount to more than one-third of that group’s usual income. So for example, a group whose usual income is £20,000 would only receive funding from HIWCF in a year to a maximum of £6,666.
